Thelma McCatty
HostThe programme host, Thelma McCatty, has impressive training and experience in horticulture and related areas. She did post-graduate studies in environmental policy planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); has an MPhil in plant physiology from the University of the West Indies, and a BSC in Agronomy from McGill University. In addition to owning and operating a commercial-scale horticultural enterprise for over ten years, Mrs. McCatty operated a consulting practice which provided services in the areas of horticulture, crop production, natural resources management, project preparation and evaluation, and applied research leading to the packaging and transfer of new technologies The Growing Things television programme gives practical expression to her lifelong interests in horticulture, natural resources management, nutrition, health and fitness.
